Pat Barber has successfully developed and acquired over $6.4 billion in real estate across 200+ transactions over 38 years in the industry. As Chairman and Managing Member of Barber Partners, Pat is actively involved in overseeing operations of the company including investment origination, development and construction, asset management and capital markets.
Prior to starting Barber Partners, Pat co-founded and led Encore Enterprises, an institutional commercial real estate company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. In this role, Pat supervised over $2.6 billion in development and acquisition projects, including office, industrial, hotel, retail, multi-family, and raw land developments. In addition to growing the company exponentially, Pat has tremendously enjoyed training, mentoring, and growing the careers of his only son Nic and the select team invited to join Barber Partners.
Previously, he served as President of Angeles Development, a real estate development company, backed by a single family office, specializing in senior housing in Texas and Louisiana.
Earlier in his career, Pat served as co-founder and President of Partners Capital, a senior housing development company, and held senior positions with Barber-Crim Partners and Wiggins Gray Interests.
Pat holds degrees in architecture and business finance from Louisiana State University. He is a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, skiing, bird hunting, reading, and watching documentaries. He’s also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and LSU football teams.
